Andrea D. Plumlee

Judge Andrea Plumlee was elected as the District Judge of the 330th Judicial District in November 2010 and is currently serving her fourth term. She is campaigning for 5th District Court of Appeals, Place 8, in the 2026 election cycle. She will bring much-needed family law expertise to the appellate court that serves six North Texas counties, including Collin County. Prior to her tenure on the bench, Judge Plumlee worked in the private practice of family law, and she also has experience in civil law, juvenile defense, and child welfare litigation.

Judge Plumlee is a graduate of SMU School of Law and the University of North Texas. Judge Plumlee currently serves as the Local Administrative District Judge in Dallas County where she provides administrative oversight for 29 district courts under her jurisdiction. She is the immediate past Presiding Judge of the seven family District Courts in Dallas County.
