About Sarah Eckhardt
Senator Sarah Eckhardt brings two decades of legislative and executive experience to the Comptroller’s race, including her historic service as the first woman Travis County Judge. In that role, she managed a budget for 1.3 million residents and oversaw 4,000 employees—consistently delivering balanced budgets while reducing property taxes three times. Known for valuing results over credit, Eckhardt has passed impactful, bipartisan legislation even as a member of the minority party. As Comptroller, she will be a watchdog for your money, not a lapdog for the rich and powerful.
She is ready on Day One to fight corruption and end the "pay-to-play" system. She will ensure our government works for Texans struggling with the basics—like food, prescriptions, and housing—so they can finally do more than just get by.
